Pity Party

My hubby left for TDY this weekend, I'm sick and Silver Bella was cancelled. I'm just bummed. I'm so sad about Silver Bella. It is the one thing I do for myself. I don't have the flexible schedule most ladies have...my husband's work takes precedence, I don't have family nearby to watch my children. I love being a vendor at Silver Bella....it is the only chance I get to do something like that. I do need to figure out what to do with the items I've been stockpiling for SB. I have over 70 jello molds/tins. I couldn't find them for awhile and then I found a bunch of them...argh. There are just some things that I can sell at SB that it just isn't feasible to do on Etsy. I just need a few more days to get over it. I have a bunch of fun things I got in my Easter Swap (I know because others have been posting about them)...I haven't opened any of mine. My postcards I ordered for the postcard swap are on their way here.....I need a good quote. I've got tags to finish and a little book to start on....one of the Bella's is hostessing a Bling Necklace Swap....I need to check my stash to see if I have enough vintage bling for that one. Her blog is www.backatyababe.blogspot.com if you are interested...she needs 23 ladies. Blah, blah, blah....I will get my head out of my ass...it will just take a few days. :)

  1. Poor Wanda! I was so shocked when I saw that SB had been cancelled! Thought of you 'cuz I remembered you'd said how much you enjoy it. I wonder if there's another event you could attend where you might be a vendor? I also wondered if the proliferation of the weekend events had taken people away from Silver Bella, along with the poor economy. Teresa probably originated the idea, but now there are other events and they're all pretty pricy. Hope she'll be able to have it next year! And I hope you get well soon! And find a good babysitter :)

  2. I'm sad about Silver Bella, too, even though I probably wasn't going to be able to go this year. Have you checked out Spark in Salt Lake City? It's in October so not sure how that would work with your schedule, but it looks interesting.

  3. I was wondering how you would feel about that. I know you love it.

Ok - so have you thought about Art Unraveled in AUGUST in PHOENIX? Cause its HOT...and I don't just mean the weather, lol.

Also since you are in TX now look for Adorn me in Feb/March in Houston...

And Quilt Festival in Houston in early Nov.

I think the Art Unraveled conferences will get closer to what you had at SB but not the same. I can tell that much about watching the blogs. So sad it had to cancel. This economy is bad...

Now about these jello molds in tin - I would love to see them!!!

  6. I am going to miss seeing you this November even though I was not going to be actually going for the whole weekend I was planning on going to the vendor faire especially since I will have a new member of my family to introduce to you. Hopefully you will find something to be able to go to. I know Art Unraveled was always something I wanted to do when I lived in Tucson.
